New creative talent struggle to get their work seen by the people that could give them their first break in advertising.

Solution

D&AD New Blood, held annually at the Truman Brewery is the leading showcase for young creatives. So we gave them a chance to prove their talent by creating a competition to design 6 beer labels representing 6 creative principles. A challenge that literally put the winners’ work into the hands of those who matter most: creative industry leaders.

The leading showcase for young creative talent, Creative Crate was a natural fit, capturing the imaginations of delegates with a daily beer mat illustration challenge and careers advice from Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness HR.

Results

The competition gained real traction with leading art and design colleges at home and abroad. Key industry figures and companies, including Adobe and Bernstein & Andrulli played an integral role in making it a success. 5 of our 6 winners are now in full-time roles within the creative industry.
